PAHS: ‘Bunny’ in Need of Foster Family as she Recovers from Heart Worms

From PAHS – Prattvile Autauga Humane Shelter

Bunny is a 3-year-old female German Shepherd who has already been spayed. Although highly adoptable, Bunny has screened heartworm positive. This beautiful girl needs a foster family to hang out with while she is being treated for heartworms.

PAHS will pay for the treatments and provide everything her foster family would need to take care of her–crate, bedding, food, etc. Bunny is a sweet girl who really needs your help. She gets along well with dogs who are about her size. Bunny doesn’t do well with smaller dogs or cats.

If you have another dog we would suggest you bring your dog out for a meet and greet with beautiful Bunny. She is very gentle but can be quite playful and active. We believe Bunny would be fine with older children. She knows the commands ‘sit and shake’. Bunny is a very nice dog who deserves a second chance at life by being treated for heart worms and fostered while being treated. Please contact us if you think you could be the foster home we are looking for to help Bunny.

PAHS is open 11-4 Monday-Saturday. /puppy adoption fees are $20. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $10. All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under ‘special needs’ our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
