Capitol Sounds Concert Band presents ‘Swing into Spring Concert’ March 21

(Montgomery, Ala.) The Capitol Sounds Concert Band will present their “Swing into Spring” Concert on TUESDAY, MARCH 21, 7:00 PM at Saint James Church, 9045 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, AL 36117.

The Capitol Sounds Concert Band, organized in 1972, is under the direction of John Jackson, who is in his 20th season as conductor and music director. Their next concert will feature selections by Mozart, including the overture to the Marriage of Figaro. Also included will be Symphonic Dance “Fiesta” by Clifton Williams, as well as the Claude T. Smith arrangement of God of Our Fathers. Another selection will be Ode for Trumpet by Alfred Reed, and an arrangement of Harold Arlen selections, including “It’s Only A Paper Moon”, “Stormy Weather”, and “That Old Black Magic”. There’ll be something for everyone!
