The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for another Young Professionals Mixer. The group of young professionals meets twice a year. This event is aimed at networking with others and aimed at bringing together young professionals.
“It’s an opportunity to get together and get to know one another,” Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Director Brenda Dennis said.
The group meets at various venues in the area and is a good time for all who attend.
“The last mixer was held at the Rex,” Dennis said. “They are always fun.”
Many of the young professionals do not work in the area and these Mixers allow them to network with others who may not work in the area but do live in the community.
“A lot of them work outside of Millbrook and this is an opportunity to get them together,” Dennis said.
The Young Professionals Mixer offers the opportunity to mingle with some of Millbrook’s finest professionals.
“If you want to get to know people who are working hard striving to get ahead in their career and around your age, if you want to know who those people are, and be a part of a support system in the community with like-mind, liked-placed people, this is a good opportunity to do that,” Dennis said.
According to Dennis, The Young Professional Mixer is a great place to meet the next generation of community leaders.
“They are our next generation of future leaders,” Dennis said. “It’s a good thing to be plugged into.”
While the Young Professionals Mixers are aimed at young adults who are 40 years old and under, “The Chamber is always a good place to offer opportunities to people. One of the base goals is to offer opportunities for improvement in whatever they are doing in their business life. If you are doing business in Millbrook, it is good to attend and see who those people are because those are the people you will grow up within the community.”
While the date is to be determined, the next Young Professional Mixer will be held this Spring.
