Father-son business owners Ed Smith and Brad Smith are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their Montgomery Firehouse Subs restaurant, located at 6661 Atlanta Hwy. It was 2002 when Ed and Brad opened the first Firehouse Subs restaurant in Montgomery.

Ed and Brad are from Montgomery, and they are dedicated to sharing the brand’s commitment to giving back to the community through Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The franchise has granted more than $408,000 to public safety organizations in greater Montgomery, including Tallassee Volunteer Fire Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Montgomery Police Department.

“My dad and I are excited to celebrate two decades of serving the great community of Montgomery,” said Brad Smith. “Just last year, we were honored to be a part of awarding the local heroes at the Tallassee Fire Department with 10 new sets of personal protective equipment made possible thanks to a $23,570 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. We look forward to raising even more funds to support our local first responders.”

With a mission to provide lifesaving equipment and resources to first responders and public safety organizations across the country, a portion of every purchase at any Firehouse Subs in the U.S. benefits the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

To their many loyal customers over the last 20 years, the Smiths send their sincere appreciation and gratitude for their unwavering support.
