Recently some very special students from Millbrook Middle School received surprise Christmas presents from the Punishers LEMC Three Rivers Chapter and members of the Millbrook Police Department.
Along with photos of the delivery, the Facebook Page for the Punishers said, “We delivered an early Christmas surprise to Ms. Perry and Ms. Gray’s students at Millbrook Middle School. They must have been extra good this year!”
Organizers had contacted the teachers to see if there were any specific items that would be special to individual students. The result was fantastic as cheers and screams came from the students as they opened their presents.
The Punishers LEMC Three Rivers Chapter is one of the primary sponsors for the Millbrook Police Department’s Blue Santa program, which is separate from the many other “surprises” the Punishers offered this year to various organizations and individuals.
Throughout the year the group had fundraisers, poker runs and other events to raise the money which goes right back into the community, through monetary donations or surprises like this one at Millbrook Middle School. In total, this past year the Punishers LEMC Three Rivers Chapter has given back over $40,000 in gifts and donations to the community.
We hope Santa is watching, because the Punishers have been extraordinarily good this year.
Follow the Punishers LEMC Three Rivers Chapter on their Facebook page of the same name. Honestly, they do so much for the area it is hard to keep up with them!
The Punishers organization is international, with chapters across the world. The members are primarily law enforcement, military, or like-minded individuals who want to continue serving in their communities. The local Three Rivers Chapter is small in numbers but big in giving, and their President Johnny Stiles was named Punisher of the Year last year.
