Description: In celebration of the exhibition BOUNDLESS, proprietors Nick and Davena Jernigan of Verde Café will curate a culinary show of seasonal bounty. We will come together as friends and a community for an artful culinary experience with our plates and palates as the canvas. Join BOUNDLESS curator Jennifer Jankauskas, Ph.D. along with artists Jamele Wright Sr. (BOUNDLESS) and Ke Francis (Due South: Ke Francis and Hoopsnake Press) for a communal dining experience. Title: Printmaking Workshop with Ke Francis for High School Students

Description: Ke Francis, printmaker and featured artist in Due South exhibition and MMFA Permanent Collection, will be leading a class for high school students on the relief printmaking process. Students will be able to make their own assemblages and prints. This workshop is limited to 15 students, and advance registration is required. All materials are included in the registration cost. Title: Community Artmaking Program with Jamele Wright, Sr.

Title: Adult Studio Class: Mixed Media with Sara Wright

Description: Please join Sara B. Wright, artist and art educator, for this teen and adult studio class to create a Mixed Media Painting. Participants will create works of art on canvas using various colors of tissue paper, paint, and various media. Participants will review the Elements and Principles of Art, discuss the value of decisiveness, participate in class critiques, and do a self-reflection. All experience levels are welcome to join us for a journey through the creative process! The registration fee of $35 includes all the needed art-making materials and snacks throughout the day. All participants will leave with a finished canvas that is ready to hang on the wall. Limited to 18 people. Museum members receive a 25% discount on registration.

Title: Youth Studio Class: Expression through Color with Tiiwon Siaway

Description: We invite all 8-13-year-old artists to join Tiiwon Siaway, a talented and energetic artist and educator, for a creative afternoon in the MMFA’s studios. She will be exploring color theory and colored pencil techniques to create vibrant color and expressive works. All experience levels are welcome. Each participant will leave with a masterpiece ready for the wall, not just the refrigerator. Come discover the power of color.
