On November 9th, the City of Millbrook and the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce held their inaugural Pancake with Warriors Breakfast event at the American Legion Post #133 in Millbrook. American Legion Post #133 is located at 4980 Main Street. The event was FREE for all Veterans and their dependents. Breakfast consisted of delicious pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee.

“On behalf of the City of Millbrook, the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, and the American Legion Post 133 it is an honor to be able to serve our veterans in appreciation for their selfless service to our country,” said Danae Morgan, the Cultural Arts and Special Events Coordinator in Millbrook.

Special thanks to the American Legion members who cooked and served up the breakfast for Warriors. The Millbrook Legion members are examples of military men and women who served their country proudly, and even in their retirement continue to serve the community.

Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley recognized Veterans throughout the week of events, as well as a proclamation of thanks in their honor.

It is important to remember for all of us, that something as simple as a Thank You, a Proclamation, and event to show respect really does make a difference to the men and women who served in the Armed Forces. We appreciate them throughout the year, and their continued service to their fellow Americans and Veterans.
