Description: Kick off your holiday shopping and support local artists at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts’ annual Artist Market! Featuring artists from across the River Region and the state, Artist Market offers a beautiful array of works in various price ranges, from striking fine art to charming stocking stuffers. On Saturday, enjoy musical performances by Baldwin Arts and Academics Magnet School and fares from local food trucks while you shop. Proceeds from Artist Market benefit the local artist community and educational programming at the Museum.

Title: Coffee with the Curator and Ke Francis

Title: Opening and Gallery Talk

Title: Opening Dinner: BOUNDLESS

Description: In celebration of the exhibition BOUNDLESS, proprietors Nick and Davena Jernigan of Verde Café will curate a culinary show of seasonal bounty. We will come together as friends and a community for an artful culinary experience with our plates and palates as the canvas. Join BOUNDLESS curator Jennifer Jankauskas, Ph.D. along with artists Jamele Wright Sr. (BOUNDLESS) and Ke Francis (Due South: Ke Francis and Hoopsnake Press) for a communal dining experience. Seating is limited to 30.

Title: Printmaking Workshop with Ke Francis for High School Students

Date: December 9, 2022

Time: 9:00 – 12:00 PM

Location: Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts

Description: Ke Francis, printmaker and featured artist in Due South exhibition and MMFA Permanent Collection, will be leading a class for high school students on the relief printmaking process. Students will be able to make their own assemblages and prints. This workshop is limited to 15 students, and advance registration is required. All materials are included in the registration cost. Class scholarships are available, please contact ethomas@mmfa.org for additional information. Museum members receive a 25% discount on registration.
