The Learning Tree holds annual Anglers for Autism Bass Tournament

The Learning Tree held the Anglers for Autism Bass Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Wind Creek State Park in Alexander City. The event was presented by OGS Tournaments.

Blast off was at safe light and weigh-in began promptly at 3 p.m.

Brady Jones and Joel Smith took 1st place with 14.67 lbs. The two also won Big Largemouth Bass with a 5.68 lbs., and Big Spotted Bass with a 3.93 lbs.

2nd place went to Rob Griffin and Cody Spraggins with 11.7 lbs.

3rd place went Sidney Reynolds and Garrett Jones with 11.47 lbs.

4th place went to Marty Giddens and Scott Russell with 11.06 lbs.

5th place went to Hunter Farish and Josh Statum with 10.45 lbs.

6th place went to Skyler Sanders and Grant Williamson with 10.25 lbs.

7th place went to Silas Kennedy with 9.97 lbs.

America’s First Federal Credit Union’s AmFirst Bass Cash winner was Marty Giddens.

Average Weight winners were Tony and Anthony Potts.

Anglers for Autism Bass Tournament is hosted by The Learning Tree, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational, residential and support services for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, including autism. The Learning Tree offers programs that are designed to help children lead more fulfilling and rewarding lives. For over 38 years, The Learning Tree has provided quality educational and residential programs for children. The Learning Tree serves more than 700 children and adolescents from more than 40 counties from across Alabama. More than 100 children are provided residential school services in Birmingham, Jacksonville, Mobile, and Tallassee. The Learning Tree also offers preschool services in Hunstville and Anniston. Consultation and outreach services are coordinated with public school districts across the state. Clinic based ABA services are available in Anniston, Birmingham, Montgomery and Mobile.
