National Merit Program Recognizes Prattville High School Student

Inman Hebert has been named a semifinalist in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. Inman is one of approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 68th Annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
This academically talented high school senior has an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,250 Nation Merit Scholarships worth $28,000,000 that will be offered next spring. To be considered for the National Merit Scholarship, semifinalist must fulfill several requirements to advance to the finalist level of competition. About 95% of the semifinalist are expected to obtain Finalist standing, and more than the half of the finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship.  

Inman is a senior at Prattville High School.  He is involved in the band, where he plays the mellophone during marching season and the French Horn in concert season. He represented PHS as a member of the both the All-State Band and Orchestra. Inman is also a member of the French Club and the National Honor Society. Inman wants to attend the University of Chicago to major in political science.  His dream is to work abroad for the State Department as a diplomat. His hobbies are playing chess and being a part of the Pride of Prattville Marching Band.
