Week 3 of High School Athletics continued across the area. Teams that sent in information were awarded “Players of the Game.” Stanhope Elmore High School and Marbury High School each celebrated Homecoming at their respective games.

Football Updates:

Thursday, September 1:

Elmore County vs Sylacauga, ECHS winning 48-21

Friday, September 2:

Autaugaville vs Notasulga, Autaugaville winning 28-8

Billingsley vs Calhoun, Billingsley winning 42-6; Player of the game was Billingsley’s QB Landon Jones who went 18/23 with 304 yards with 3TD passes, then 9 carries for 47 yards and 1TD

Marbury vs Jemison, Jemison winning 14-9; Player of the game was Marbury’s #15 Jerrel O’Neal with 5 solo and 5 assisted tackles and one interception

Prattville vs Smiths Station, Smiths Station winning 30-21

Prattville Christian vs Saint James, Saint James winning 34-0

Stanhope Elmore vs Russell County, SEHS winning 45-21

Wetumpka vs Pike Road, Pike Road winning 35-33

Holtville vs Shelby County, Holtville winning 34-13

Tallassee vs Central School of Clay County, CSCC winning 21-6

Autauga Academy vs Bessemer Academy, AA winning 28-0

Edgewood vs Chambers Academy, Chambers winning 49-14

Volleyball Updates:

August 29:

Billingsley played at Verbena and won matches 3-0

Elmore County hosted Benjamin Russell, JV winning matches 2-0 and Varsity winning matches 3-0

August 30:

Billingsley hosted Holtville, Billingsley JV won matches 2-1 and Billingsley Varsity won matches 3-1

Prattville played at Saint James, Prattville JV lost matches 0-2 and Varsity lost matches 0-3

Prattville Christian played at Montgomery Catholic, PCA JV winning matches 2-1 and PCA Varsity losing 0-3

Autauga Academy played at Coosa Valley Academy, AA losing Matches 3-0

September 1:

Autaugaville hosted Notasulga, Autaugaville winning matches 3-2

Prattville hosted Lee, Prattville JV won matches 2-0 and Varsity won matches 3-0

Wetumpka hosted Sidney Lanier, JV won matches 2-0 and Varsity won matches 3-0

Billingsley (1-1) will host Verbena

Marbury (1-2) will play at Demopolis
