“Fandom Nights” for teens have kicked off at the Autauga Prattville Public Library and they are only planning to grow. August 29 was a fun night for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans, as they came together to discuss all things MCU. Teens were encouraged to come out and dress up as their favorite characters.

Baylee Smith, Children’s and Youth Services Librarian, told us that “We had a smaller crowd than we had hoped, but it was still fun all the same. We made Marvel Keychains out of perler beads and played MCU Trivia.” The group also discussed some of their favorite movies from the MCU and where they thought Phase 5 was headed. For us Marvel lovers, it was a great discussion, as only Marvel fans can have. The winner of the MCU trivia game won a Funko Pop of Might Thor from Thor: Love and Thunder. The winner also had on a great costume as they cosplayed as Spider-Man Noir.

The next Fandom Night will be Monday, September 26 at 4:30 P.M. at the APPL. They will be discussing sitcoms. Smith tells us “We will talk about what we like, what we don’t, and what we wish would make a come-back. From Friends to The Office, we will have lots of laughs, play a game, and make a craft based on our favorite shows.” If you and your teen are looking to branch out, make new friends, and enjoy fandom in the best way, make your plans to attend the next night, and maybe you will just be the one who walks away with the next prize. The APPL offers many classes for all ages, children to adults. Be sure to follow them on social media and check out their website for all updated event information.
