Downtown Artists Wetumpka is a collective of artists in and around Wetumpka who come together to showcase their art. They have events throughout the year and are set up in Downtown Wetumpka on Company Street and in the Alley. The group started in 2020 and have been exhibiting together ever since.
Saturday, August 27, the Downtown Artists had their first exhibit of the season with over 15+ local artists sharing their love of art and more. They were in Downtown Wetumpka from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and many visitors perused these awesome showcases.
Linda Lee shared “The group started in 2020 and we’ve been growing ever since. We encourage a love of local art and bring works into the community.” The pieces shown were quite exquisite and everyone could find something to their liking; no two images or pieces were the same. If you couldn’t stop by Saturday, the Downtown Artists Wetumpka will be set up again for their next art show on October 22, 2022. In the meantime, make sure you follow them on Facebook.
