From Richard Dennis
Superintendent of Elmore County Schools
Call Out for August 12, 2022
The first week of school is in the books and Elmore County Schools are growing daily. As we end the first week enrollment in grades kindergarten through 12th grade has reached 11,232.
Next week extracurricular activities kick off with all four high school football teams playing at home.
Elmore County High School will play Thursday night and Holtville, Stanhope Elmore and Wetumpka will play on Friday night. Also, volleyball will begin for Wetumpka High and Holtville High Schools on the 18th.
We are experiencing some license issues in Office 365 which has limited a number of students from accessing their email accounts. The Elmore County IT staff is aware and working diligently to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Parents please be reminded that students will have to pay for lunch meals based on their eligibility status. To qualify for free or reduced meals families must complete a meal benefits application that can be accessed at www.myschoolapps.com
Paper copies are also available at each school and breakfast will continue to be served in the classroom at no charge.
We have had a great start to the new school year so, have a great weekend!
