Over 200 families came out to celebrate the big birthday celebration in honor of Harry Potter at the Autauga Prattville Public Library on Saturday, July 30th.
Many children, as well as adults, attended this fun event. There were costume contests, Quidditch (BYO Broom) Tournament games, snacks, Harry Potter trivia, potion class, photo props for pictures, and even a a birthday cake.
Daniel Radcliffe is the English actor who portrays Harry Potter in the films and is one of the main characters of the film.
Baylee Smith and Kaitlin Wilson both organized this entire event and did a superb job attendees agreed. Wilson made all the small keychain prizes, the golden snitches, and even the house badges for all the guests. Many teens and other volunteered to help come and work this event.
“This is the first Harry Potter event since COVID. Kaitlin and I are really proud of the turn out today and we’re happy that everyone had so much fun! We loved every second of it, and we can’t wait to have another event like this. Thank you all for coming to celebrate with us. We had so much fun,” said Smith.
Prizes were given out to the winners of all games as well as the costume contests. Awards included Keychains for the Quidditch game, Harry Potter piggy banks for winning the trivia game, and specially made wands for winning the most votes on the costume contest for a child, teen, and adult.
