The Tunes on the Green Concert series is BACK this evening in Millbrook, and first up are the Blackbird Pickers on stage beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Green.
This is a FREE event, and there are some new additions this year. Aside from great music, there will be a special Kids’ Zone with activities and bubbles! There will be some trivia questions with prizes for the correct answer. The EAN is happy to help sponsor the prizes.
There will be FREE boiled peanuts for guests while they last.
Zeke’s BBQ will have a food truck beginning at 5:30 p.m. with items for sale. They will include barbecue sandwiches, drinks and snacks.
Grab you a lawn chair, or a blanket, bring your coolers and come out for an evening of good music and a family-friendly atmosphere.
From Danae Morgan, Special Events Director – “Y’all make plans to come out for our Tunes on the Green outdoor concert at Village Green Park Thursday night. Live music by Blackbird Pickers from 6:30-8:30pm. Zeke’s BBQ food truck will be on site starting at 5:30pm and will be taking pre-orders. *NEW* Kids Zone and FREE boiled peanuts while they last. It’s going to be a fun night with something for everyone. Would love to start our concert series off with a big crowd!”
Tonight is the kickoff event, but the series will continue Thursday, June 16th with A little bit of Country theme. Brandon Elder will have a solo performance on stage and Zeke’s BBQ will be back with their food truck. There will be a homemade ice cream freeze off contest! Bring your entry in to be judged by 6 p.m. There will be trivia and more giveaways as well as the Kids’ Zone.
Thursday July 7 – A Little Bit of Americana is the theme. Becky and Doyle Campbell will be on stage. There will also be a display of Hod Rod cars thanks to Max Complete Auto. Marty Bean and the Front Porch Grill will have the food truck. The city will offer FREE watermelon while it lasts.
Thursday July 21st – The theme is Throwback Thursday. H2O will be on stage. The West Elmore Area Lions Club will be having a Duck Race beginning at 5:30 p.m. down Mill Creek with Prizes. (More details will be coming on that soon.) The food truck will be Fire Meets Wood. The city will offer FREE Popcorn while it lasts.
The EAN will be there tonight to get plenty of photos, and we are hoping for a big crowd. Thank you to the City of Millbrook for this great event.
