From the Tallassee, Alabama Police Department
On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, the Tallassee Police Department performed a special detail targeting businesses selling nicotine and CBD products to underage minors.
Utilizing confidential informants, the Tallassee Police Department conducted controlled purchases from the Marathon @ Kent Road, the Eagle Gas Station on Gilmer Ave., the Dollar General on Gilmer Ave., the Shell Station at Five Points, the Marathon in Jordanville, the Road Runner located on Central Blvd., the Valero on Notasulga Road, the Dollar General on Notasulga Road, and PJ’s One Stop located on S. Tallassee Dr.
All subjects taken into custody during this detail are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The Tallassee Police Department would like to remind everyone that selling these products to minors is illegal and the Tallassee Police Department will strictly enforce the sale and/or distribution of these products to anyone not legally of age to possess them.
