Final, but Unofficial numbers, show apparent Winners in Multiple Races within Autauga and Elmore Counties

There were “unofficial” winners in the Primary Election overnight for our area. Once election results are verified, we will be reaching out to election winners in our area about their plans for their position.

While results are still considered unofficial, the following information is from the Secretary of State’s Office election results website.

19th Judicial District Attorney Race –

CJ Robinson and Jennifer Holton were vying for District Attorney for the 19th Judicial District which covers Autauga, Chilton and Elmore Counties.

Robinson apparently won that position with 67.95 percent of votes cast in all three counties. Jennifer Holton received 32.05 percent.

Circuit Court Judge, 19th Judicial District Race –

In a very tight race, Joy Pace Booth took the majority votes with 51.85 percent, followed by Jessica Sanders with 48.15 percent.

Autauga County Sheriff’s Race –

With three candidates in the race, Incumbent Sheriff Joe Sedinger took 62.30 percent of votes cast, followed by Mark Harrell with 24.percent and Ken Gray taking 12.92 percent.

State Representative District 31 Race – (Autauga and Elmore Counties)

Troy Stubbs took 66.85 percent of votes cast in both Elmore and Autauga Counties. Chadwick Smith took 33.15 percent.

State Representative District 88 Race (Autauga and Elmore Counties)

Jerry Starnes took 61.94 percent of votes cast in both Autauga and Elmore Counties. The incumbent, Will Dismukes, took 38.06 percent.

Amendment 1 passed statewide with 76.78 percent voting Yes, and 23.22 percent voting No.

For other races specific to Autauga County:

Autauga County Board of Education District 1 –

Tracye Cutts-Strichik took 54.31 percent of votes compared to Eleanor Ballow with 45.60 percent.

Autauga County Board of Education District 2 –

Kim Crockett – 44.85 percent

Wayne Lambert 35.17 percent.

Jim Manderson – 16.80 percent.

Jonathan Jett – 3.18 percent.

Autauga County Board of Education District 3 –

Jamie Jackson took 76.33 percent of the votes compared to Kevin McNatt with 23.65 percent.

Autauga County Board of Education District 4 –

Billy Hollon took 74.39 percent of the votes compared to Roger Dempsey with 25.61 percent.

Autauga County Board of Education District 5Ledronia Goodwin took 52.30 percent of votes, compared to Hazell Stoudemire with 47.70 percent.

Autauga County Coroner:

Buster Barber took 71.40 percent of votes, compared to Terri Exum with 28.51 percent.

For Races Specific to Elmore County:

Elmore County Coroner:

Dalan Gasset took a commanding 72.43 percent of votes cast, followed by Lamar Neighbors with 18.34 percent and Martin Steltenpohl with 9.23 percent.
