MONTGOMERY POST – A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:08 a.m. Thursday, April 28, has claimed the life of a Decatur, Ga., man. Richard Roberts, 63, was fatally injured when the 2020 Isuzu box-truck he was driving struck with the rear-end of a 2014 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Jayson C. Banks, 43, of Rex, Ga.
Roberts was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Interstate 85 near the 15 mile marker, approximately five miles east of Montgomery, in Montgomery County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
