Take A Hike: Waterfall Tour
Join Park Naturalist Mandy Pearson on a tour exploring the waterfalls of the Cheaha area. We will cover easy to moderate hikes on rocky dirt trails and see some well-known waterfalls as well as some hidden mountain treasures. Bring plenty of water, snacks, hiking poles/staff (optional), sturdy shoes (open-toe shoes are not recommended). Please be sure to dress appropriately according to seasonal temperatures/weather.
As with all outdoor events, if it’s raining/stormy or very poor trail conditions, we may have to cancel/reschedule. If the weather is questionable, please check with Mandy (256-412-9938) before leaving home.
Date: Saturday, May 7, 2022(Rescheduled from April 16th due to inclement weather)
Time: 9:00 am-2:30 pm
Location: Meet at the Mountain Store, then caravan behind the leader to sites to include CCC Reservoir Falls, Laurel Trail Falls, Cheaha Falls (TNF), Bunn Slide and Falls, and High Falls (TNF).
Cost: $25 per person; pre-registration is required by April 13, 2022 (no refunds after April 10, 2022)
