Prattville Juvenile Shot in his home on Jones Street overnight; Investigation Continues

The Prattville Police Department is investigating a shooting overnight on Jones Street that injured a juvenile. If you have any information about this incident, please notify law enforcement or Central Alabama CrimeStoppers.

From Chief Thompson –

On 03/30/22, around 1930hrs., Prattville Police Officers and Investigators responded to the 100 Block of Jones St. in ref to a shots fired call. While enroute, dispatch advised a male juvenile was located in the 200 Block of Gardner Rd. with an apparent gunshot wound to the left arm.

Contact was made with the 16-year-old juvenile. He advised he was at his residence in the 100 Block of Jones St. when unknown subject(s) shot at him multiple times. The juvenile suffered a gunshot wound to the upper left arm. The juvenile was transported to Baptist South in Montgomery for treatment.

Based on the information provided by the juvenile, this appears to be a targeted shooting and not random. Investigators have developed a person of interest.

The Prattville Police Department continues to investigate this case.
