MONTGOMERY POST – A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:31 a.m. Sunday, March 20, has claimed the life of a Saraland man. Chris Weaver, 32, was fatally injured when the 2016 Toyota 4Runner he was driving collided head-on with a 2007 GMC Yukon driven by Jonathan Velasquez, 32, of Montgomery. Weaver was critically injured and pronounced deceased at an area hospital. The crash occurred on Interstate 65 southbound at the 163 mile marker approximately one mile south of Montgomery. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
