Braveheart is an 1-year-old male Pointer/Red Heeler mix who must be neutered before he is adopted. He came to PAHS as a stray and no owner came to claim him.
Braveheart is white with brown markings; he is such a good-looking guy! He currently weighs 27 pounds and he will be a medium sized adult dog who will weigh 30-60 pounds. Braveheart is nothing like his name! He is the shyest little boy we have ever seen. He is not brave but afraid of his own shadow! Braveheart is very, VERY sweet. Once he knows you mean him no harm he is very loving. Braveheart is just overwhelmed by the sights and sounds at the shelter. He loves our staff and would be good in a home with older children.
Little children’s noise and activity might scare him. Braveheart would be good with other dogs too. This precious little guy needs a nice home with a calm family! Braveheart will make an amazing companion and devoted friend to some lucky adopter.
Our adoption fee is $120 for dogs and $50 for cats. This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We are closed the last Thursday of the month for staff training. Adoptions are currently by appointment only.
