MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, has claimed the life of a Wetumpka juvenile. The 16-year-old was fatally injured when the 2007 Toyota Tundra in which he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree before catching on fire.
The teen was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Old Salem Road, approximately 10 miles south of Wetumpka, in Elmore County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
