The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a “Morning Brew” event each month and a business or community organization can hold this event at their location. It is a great way to highlight their business or promote things going on within their organization.

This month, the Elmore County Board of Education hosted the event at Millbrook Middle School in their S.T.E.M room.

There is always a huge turnout for Morning Brews, but the event Tuesday had the largest attendance to date.

Among those present were educators, community businesses owners, leaders and other supporters of The Millbrook Area Chamber  as well as the educational system in Elmore County.

Richard Dennis, superintendent of Elmore County Public Schools, said, “We are so happy to host this event and highlight the great things happening within our system and our S.T.E.M Programs.”

Elmore County has excelled with their S.T.E.M. program. There are two schools attending World competition this year in Dallas. Those teams are from Airport Road Intermediate School and Eclectic Middle School.

STEM Programs are designed for a blended learning approach where students are taught computational thinking, real-world problem solving and how to apply scientific methods to everyday life.

STEM is the acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

If your business or organization would like to host a Morning Brew with The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, please contact Brenda Dennis at 334-285-0085.
