AUTAUGA COUNTY – The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 9 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022, to a call for shots fired in the 200 block of North Pickett Street in Autaugaville, AL. When sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene they discovered that multiple shots were fired in the area and deputies located four victims. One victim sustained life threatening injuries and three others sustained non-life threatening injuries. Life Flight was called and transported the victim with life threatening injuries to the hospital.
The three victims with non-life threatening injuries were treated and released from local area hospitals. Autauga County Sheriff’s Office Investigators were notified on Sunday March 13, 2022, that victim Cameron Jakyle Motley, 22, did not survive his life threating injures.
Investigators are combing through evidence and witness statements to piece together the events of this crime. Charges are forthcoming pending further investigation.
