Prattville Investigators Working Case after Shots Fired into occupied House, Vehicle overnight

PRATTVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Early this morning just after 1 a.m. the Prattville Police Department responded to the 100 block of Jones Street in reference to a suspicious activity/shots fired call.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that one residence and one vehicle had been struck multiple times. Numerous spent rifle ammunition casings were located in the roadway.

Five people were determined to have been inside the residence at the time the shots were fired, including three children under the age of 12.

No one was injured during the incident. It appears that this was an isolated, targeted incident and that no threat to the general public appears to exist.

Investigators are currently working with the victims in hopes of obtaining more information, to include a motive for the targeted act.
