Prattville’s Way Off Broadway Theatre will Celebrate World Theatre Day on Sunday, March 27, and will honor the late Joey B. Fine. Joey was a big part of the Way Off Broadway Theatre and the entire theatre community of the River Region.
The theatre world is open again and theatres around the world are excited to be able to bring shows to live audiences! Prattville’s Way Off Broadway has been working hard and performing to live audiences, although much smaller than usual. We are excited to recognize and celebrate World Theatre Day on Sunday opening our doors to let people know that we are open for business and have a great lineup of plays scheduled for 2022.
As part of our celebration, we also will honor Joey Fine, whom WOBT had the pleasure of working with as a director and an actor, as well as a theatre instructor and in just about every other element of the theatre. As we celebrate World Theatre Day, we are pleased to be able to honor someone who truly appreciated theatre and worked hard to bring the best of theatre to our community.
