Tyler Braden, a native of Holtville, is making huge waves on the music scene. With his mix of country and rock he has a unique style that listeners are loving.

After graduating from Holtville High School he became a firefighter in Montgomery, where he served for four years before packing up and moving to Nashville, again working as a firefighter.

The hope was being closer to country music central would better his chances of success.

Though many try similar tactics without success, Tyler stood out and has made it big.

He signed with Warner Music in Nashville in 2019 and from there began to blow up. You may have heard one of his songs like What Do They Know, Try Losing One or Ways to Miss You just to name a few of his hit songs.

Braden grew up around music and singing with his parents, aunts and uncles. They performed private parties and at church. “I have sung my entire life and began playing guitar around 15-years-old, so it’s always been part of me,” said Braden.

His greatest professional accomplishment so far was his recent appearance on The Grand Ole Opry stage. How did it feel to do something many people only dream of doing?

Braden said, “There was nothing like it and to experience something that is so once in a lifetime I have no words for it other than it was amazing.”

Braden most recently went on tour with Brantley Gilbert and will begin his next tour with Brooks and Dunn later this year. He will also be premiering March 21st with hosts Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg on the NBC show American Song Contest.

When asked what he would be doing if he wasn’t performing at The Grand Ole Opry, going on tour with huge stars and hitting 70 million plus streams so far he said, “I would be doing just this  – singing and performing. I would also still be a firefighter. Those are the things I love doing.”
