On Monday, Main Street Vintage Market celebrated its inaugural vendor work night/social event. This monthly private event is held on the last day of each month. It gives vendors the opportunity to restock, refresh and redecorate their booth, dust, vacuum, and socialize with their fellow vendors. The store offers light refreshments; this month was paté and hummus! Open since August 2021 and located at 2910 Main Street in Millbrook, Alabama, Main Street Vintage Market was the vision of owners Amy and Mike Floyd, who also own Memories Vintage and Flea Market in Prattville.

.A few of the vendors that attended the work night spoke to EAN about their business. James and Julie Ashmore of “Reflections of Grace” have been present since the store first opened. They sell paintings, books and a little bit of everything.

“Thank you for all the support from the community and the employees and owners. Everyone has been so wonderful here,” said the Ashmores.

Brenda Frew of “Plant and Frame” specializes in detachable garden and home decorations. Frew patented her star-shaped, detachable, and customizable pieces. “I have gotten a lot of feedback since opening my booth in January. The customers have been amazing, as well as the employees and owners,” said Frew.

Owners of “Petal Pushers,” Debbie and Sherry, create custom cemetery flowers for gravesites with small, medium, and large flower saddle and cone arrangements and casket flowers, too.

A new vendor coming to Main Street Vintage Market, Katrina Hunter, owner of “Call Me…Set Free!,” will be offering art, hand-made papercraft, apparel, and artwork. Her specialty is custom-made journals.

Other vendors include Debbi Copeland of the Dixie Belle Paint Company, specializing in bright, chalk mineral paint, and Jan of “622 Refined,”  offering home décor, gifts, Jan-Made Wreaths, and so much more.

All of the vendors are gearing up for Spring, presenting new products in their booths. Over 50 vendors are located at the Millbrook location, and over 170 vendors are located at Memories in Prattville.

Lissa Jo Monroe is the manager of Main Street Vintage Market. “I would like to thank Millbrook and the surrounding areas that have supported us from the beginning. We can now boast of having ‘regulars’ that swing by at least once a week, grab a cup of coffee, browse the ‘stacks’ (aisles), or just pop in to say ‘hello.’ I hope it’s because we take special pride in welcoming our customers into the store. In fact, it’s considered one of the most vital aspects of our job. Amy Floyd has instilled in her staff the importance of feeling seen and acknowledged, that a little kindness and recognition goes a long way, even if it’s for a moment,” said Monroe.

Main Street Vintage Market is located on Main Street next to Kingdom Dough. They are offering a Spring Promotion for their customers called “It’s a Spring Thing,” and every purchase in March earns you an entry to win a $250 gift card to the store. The lucky winner will be announced during the “A Spring Thing” event on Saturday, April 2nd. Refreshments, door prizes, and DIY demonstrations will also be happening that day. Main Street Vintage Market is open seven days a week, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please visit their Facebook at: www.Facebook.com/mainstreetvintagemarket for more information.
