R.T. Barksdale has announced he is running for the Alabama House of Representatives District 31. Barksdale currently works for Areotek Engineering and Sciences.
Barksdale worked for (he still calls it the Highway Department) but retired with 25 years of service for ALDOT. “Elmore County sends a lot of tax revenue to the state and they need someone to standup and who is familiar with the process of designing and building our infrastructure. The Elmore county taxpayer deserves and will always come first. I believe Government should have to follow the same accounting balance as the taxpayer. You have this much coming in so you should only have that much going out.”
“The majority of most issues can be fixed with just a little common sense and without any inside or outside influence. Of course I have a few pet projects that hits home with myself but the Elmore County Taxpayer will always come first.”
