Saturday the Millbrook Revelers and the City of Millbrook are welcoming thousands of revelers downtown for the Mardi Gras Festival at Village Green Park and the Parade at Noon.
So far, it looks like Mother Nature shall be kind, with a projected sunny day with highs in the upper 50s. Great weather to stroll through the vendors in Village Green Park, and catch some beads, Moon Pies, Candy and other Mardi Gras Accoutrement.
The Millbrook Revelers’ annual Mardi Grad Parade and Festival will draw thousands to downtown Millbrook looking for ways to “Let the Good Times Roll!”
One of the biggest and celebrations in the area is a day full of fun at Village Green Park and later along Main Street.
Everything you need to know about the day can be found at www.millbrookrevelers.org
From the Millbrook Revelers Website
The Millbrook Revelers Mardi Gras Festival and Parade will be held on February 19, 2022. The Festival grounds at Village Green Park will officially open at 9 a.m. The Parade will begin at Noon. Please visit the Festival tab on the website or the Parade tab for more information.
MILLBROOK REVELERS MARDI GRAS FESTIVAL
The Millbrook Revelers Mardi Gras festival has become one of the “Must Attend” events in Alabama in the month of February. It will provide over 60 vendors on site, with something for everyone.
Participating vendors come from Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida and of course the state of Alabama. Food items vary from alligator on a stick to gumbo, red beans and rice, smoked turkey legs and much more.
There will be fun rides for children of all ages including Pony rides, water walker, a climbing wall and the zip ride.
GENERAL PARADE INFORMATION
The Mardi Gras Parade starts at noon after the staging at the Mill Creek Park. Millcreek Park is located behind The Smokehouse Bar-B-Q restaurant on Main Street. There will be personnel on site to direct you to your starting position.
The only “theme” for the parade is Laissez Les Bons Temp Rouler or Let the Good Times Roll. Have fun with decorating your entry. Judging will begin at 11 a.m. and all units must be in place at that time to be considered for any prizes.
Alcohol is not permitted on any entry. Entries are encouraged to toss to the crowd Mardi Gras items such as beads, candy, small stuffed animals or other items of your choice. The parade route is over a mile long. Please “pace” yourself in throwing out your items. The crowd will be larger in the area around the Village Green.
