Elmore County School Board Passes $500 Bonus for Full Time Employees

FROM THE ELMORE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD

On January 25th 2022, the Elmore County Public School Board meeting  washeld in Wetumpka, Alabama where board members approved a recommendation from Superintendent Richard Dennis.

Supt.  Dennis made a recommendation for a one-time payment to all current full-time employees in the amount of $500 for prospective services due to the social and emotional support for students and staff impacted by the stresses of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Dennis said this bonus is to show employees their services provided are valued for students, parents and other stakeholders in our community.

The recommendation was approved and all full-time employees will receive a $500 bonus in February.  A full-time employee is defined as only those which the school program pays  a PEEHIP allocation. PEEHIP stands for Public Education Employees Health Insurance Plan.
The Superintendent and Board Members did not participate in the receipt of payment.
