PAHS Pet of the Week is Shadow; Big Guy is Loving, but Not Good with Cats

FROM PRATTVILLE/AUTAUGA HUMANE SOCIETY

Shadow (formerly known as Apollo) is a 4-year-old male Black Lab/Rottweiler mix who has already been neutered.  He was originally turned in to PAHS as stray from out in the county and no one reclaimed him.  Shadow was recently adopted but returned because he is not good with cats. Shadow

‘s medium length coat is black with brown markings mostly on his legs.  He is a very good looking guy who weighs 82 pounds.  Shadow is just as sweet as he can be!  This gentle giant gets along well with other dogs and would be just fine in a home with children.  However, as previously stated, he is not good with cats.  Shadow is well behaved and calm.  He is a sweet dog and very trainable.

Shadow is house trained, knows the commands–sit/ stay, down and come.  Please consider giving this wonderful big boy a new start on life.  Shadow is the best!

Our adoption fee is $120 for dogs and $50 for cats.  This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.

The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.  Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  We are closed the last Thursday of the month for staff training.  Adoptions are currently by appointment only.   For more information about our shelter,  please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email info@prattvilleautaugahumane.org, or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org
