MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, has claimed the life of a Wetumpka man. Marion F. Simpson, 66, was fatally injured when the 2005 Ford F-150 he was driving left the roadway and struck a culvert, causing the vehicle to overturn. Simpson was pronounced deceased on scene. The crash occurred on Colley Road in Elmore County, approximately four miles east of Wetumpka. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
