The City of Prattville will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall to discuss the city’s completion of a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The grant was approved in Fiscal Year 2017 for wastewater improvements to the South Industrial Park to accommodate the needs of the community.
The City used $1,460,059 in cash with ADECA grant funds of $750,000 that was needed to make up the balance of the project. The project was completed in the fourth quarter of 2021 and hired 207 people of which 56% were from low-moderate income people.
