PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Bart! He is a Big, Sweet boy and Very Active

From Barbara Sanford

Prattville Autauga Humane Society

Bart is a 3-year-old male Yellow Lab/Pit Bull mix who has already been neutered.   He originally came to PAHS as a stray who was found out in the county and never reclaimed.  Recently, Bart was adopted and returned because he was too active for his adopter.  He is quite the handsome fellow–light tan coat (some call it blonde) with white markings.  Bart currently weighs 70 pounds so he is considered to be a large dog.  Even though he is active and playful he is well behaved; he would greatly appreciate a nice fenced yard where he could safely play.  Bart is leash trained and enjoys going on a walk.  Being the friendly and sweet fellow that he is, Bart would be fine with children and other dogs.  Please consider giving Bart a great new home and all the love he deserves.

Our adoption fee is $120 for dogs and $50 for cats.  This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.

The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.  Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  We are closed the last Thursday of the month for staff training.  Adoptions are currently by appointment only.
