FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER
Our featured pet this week is Freddy.
FOSTER HOME NEEDED: Freddy is an 1-year-old male Beagle who will be neutered before he goes to his foster home. He was brought to PAHS as a stray and his owner never reclaimed him. Freddy is a handsome boy who has a mostly black coat with brown and white markings. He is a good fellow who gets along with other dogs and children and he only weighs 25 pounds. Unfortunately, Freddy has tested positive for heart worms. He will need to be in a foster home while he is being treated for heart worms for about 8 weeks. PAHS will pay for the treatments and provide bedding, a crate, food, and anything else he would need while hanging out at your house. PLEASE consider helping Freddy by being his foster. If you are interested in being his foster family, please call our staff between 11 until 4, Monday-Saturday, at 358-2882. Please share and help us find the perfect foster for Freddy.
Our adoption fee is $120 for dogs and $50 for cats. This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.
Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.
We will have a delayed opening on Tuesday, December 7th, opening at 1 p.m. that day. Adoptions are currently by appointment only. For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email [email protected] or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org
Thank you for your continued help in finding homes for these great pets.
Sincerely,
Ara Horn
