The Holtville High Cheer Team is heading to State Competition today in Birmingham.
HHS cheer went to regionals in Mobile on Wednesday November 3rd. The team competed on November 4th at the Mobile Civic Center. They competed in the 5A Game Day division.
The girls placed third in their division and received a bid to state, too. Today the girls are headed to compete for station champions.
The competition dance and cheer are sure to impress everyone. The girls are coached by Coach Lauren Woodruff and she says “This team has handled the year so well and we are excited to compete for state.”
This is the first time in recent years that the Holtville Team has competed and placed in regionals in order to compete at state. This team has worked extremely hard and the student body is very proud of them.
“Getting to state has not been an easy journey. There have been many roadblocks getting all the way to state, but we have stuck through it. When the team has gotten discouraged, Coach P has always found a way to build us back up. This year is hopefully going to end with the Holtville High School Cheer Team bringing back a state title!” says Cheer Co-Captain Lamonica Smith.
We can’t wait to see how our girls represent us on Monday, please join us in wishing them the best of luck! #GOBULLDOGS
