ELMORE/AUTAUGA NEWS

Two organizations will join together Friday night in their continuing fundraiser to build a new building for Operation Combat Bikesaver of Tallassee in Elmore County.

The Thirsty Turtle of Millbrook and American Cruisers MC Lost Highway Chapter 46 are teaming together with live music for the effort.

Thunder on the Pond Bike Night will be held at The Thirsty Turtle of Millbrook from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tony Mills and Alyssa Ruffin will provide the entertainment.

The hope is to continue gathering donations so the Operation Combat Bikesaver organization will be able to build a new building. The organization offers services for veterans with post traumatic stress. The group meets regularly on property in Tallassee where they construct motorcycles and often take part in “wind therapy” for veterans who enjoy riding. If you cannot attend Friday’s event, but would like to make a donation, contact “Joker” James Gillespie at 334.451.1988.
