UPDATE: Additional Murder Charges now Added for Hunter Tatum, Accused in Death of Wife, Infant

UPDATE: TATUM HAS BEEN CHARGED NOW WITH TWO COUNTS OF MURDER. Bond on those charges was set at $200,000 per charge and he remains in the Autauga Metro Jail.

A pregnant mother and the infant she was carrying have died after an overnight shooting, and a Prattville man is in custody, now for two counts of murder.

.Hunter James Tatum, 25, was originally booked into the Autauga County Metro Jail initially for Domestic Violence/Assault 1s degree with a bond of $150,000. Late this afternoon, new charges for two counts of murder were added. Bond on those charges is $200,000 per charge.

Shortly after midnight Oct. 18 Prattville officers responded to the 800 block of Sunset Court for reports of a subject shot. On arrival, officers made contact with Hunter James Tatum and discovered an unconscious female identified as his wife.

The female was transported to Baptist South Hospital by ambulance and with life-threatening injuries.

It was later determined the female was pregnant. The baby was delivered and placed in NICU. As of 7:45 a.m. today the female and baby have passed away.

The Prattville Police Department continues to investigate this case.
