Prattville Farmers Market Fall Market

The City of Prattville will hold its third annual Fall Farmers Market Day on Saturday, October 9. Prattville Farmers Market growers and makers will have fresh produce and other homemade and handmade items at the market in the Grove on Doster Road from 8:00 a.m. until noon. There will be games, prizes and giveaways, and live music!

Free Pumpkin Decorating Class

Prattville Creative Arts Center

Save the date for the 3rd annual FREE Pumpkin Decorating class hosted by the Prattauga Art Guild. Kids of all ages are invited to join us on Thursday, October 21st, for a come-and-go outdoor pumpkin painting activity from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Creative Arts Center (342 S. Chestnut). Pumpkin and art supplies will be provided while supplies last. All decorated pumpkins will be displayed at the Parade of Pumpkins in Historic Downtown Prattville thru November 1st. We can’t wait to see all the creative pumpkins!!!

OCT. 22-31 – PARADE OF PUMPKINS IN PRATTVILLE

Join us for the 3rd Annual Parade of Pumpkins in Historic Downtown Prattville Oct. 22-31. The City will feature carved and decorated pumpkins from our community along with festive storefronts, seasonal displays like the new GLOW trail that will light up and transform Historic Downtown Prattville. Join Main Street Wetumpka for the first annual Scarecrow Row! Scarecrow Row is a fun, fall contest & event held throughout downtown Wetumpka. We are looking for artistic & crafty individuals, organizations, schools, and businesses to create unique scarecrows for the contest. The more creative the BETTER!

RULES:

-Scarecrows must be life-size, at least 5 ft tall.

-Scarecrows must be original, no store-bought scarecrows allowed.

-Scarecrows must be able to stand on their own/secure and able to withstand normal wind and rain conditions.

-Scarecrows must be family-friendly.

-Scarecrows will be accepted at the sole discretion of Main Street Wetumpka.

-Lights can be added to your scarecrow but they must be battery-operated.

-Scarecrows must remain on display through October 31, 2021.

-Scarecrows must be dropped off at their assigned location on Thursday, October 21 – Friday, October 22 by 1:00 pm.

-Scarecrows must be picked up on November 1, 2021 or they will be discarded.

JUDGING INFORMATION:

-Judging will take place on Friday, October 22 after 1:00 pm. Ribbons will be placed on winning scarecrows by October 23.

-The People’s Choice voting will begin on Saturday, October 23 and will go until Tuesday, October 26 at 12:00 pm.

-People’s Choice winners will be announced via the Main Street Wetumpka Facebook Page on October 28.

Mark your calendars: The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the City of Prattville for Artists on Main, scheduled for October 26 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

This special event is looking for visual artists to create works of art using pumpkins as their canvas (not required). We also welcome musicians, sculptors, weavers, and any other artists who want to showcase their talent to our community!

Artists on Main will occur during the Parade of Pumpkins, so make sure you come out with you and your family to enjoy this FREE festivity. We encourage you to check out the local restaurants and shops to make it a fun night!
