Marbury High to Host Inaugural Camellia Marching Band Festival Sept. 25

MARBURY BAND BOOSTERS

Marbury High School will host its inaugural Camellia Marching Band Festival this coming Saturday, September 25th with performances beginning at 10:30 AM.  The festival will be held on the school’s campus, located at 2360 US Hwy 31, Deatsville.  This event will have a 3-judge panel for band adjudication and an educational clinic following each band’s performance.  There will also be a percussion judge, a majorette/dance judge, a colorguard judge and a drum major judge.  Trophies will be awarded for bands, percussion, color guard, drum major, dance, and majorette who receive superior ratings.

“We’re looking forward to September 25th as Marbury High School hosts it’s Inaugural Camellia Marching Band Festival!” says Marbury’s Band Director Brett Johnson.  “We’re excited about this year’s awesome lineup!  If you’re in the area feel free to swing by to check out some of these fantastic local Marching Bands.”

Along with the Marbury High School Northstars Marching Band, two collegiate marching bands will perform in exhibition: The Faulkner University Marching Eagles and the Huntingdon College Marching Scarlet and Grey.

The performances will be split into two sessions:

Admission to the festival is $5 per person, and children ages 5 and under are admitted free.  There is no cost for parking.  Concessions will be available.  For more information, visit
