When something is a secret, it is hidden…unknown…not talked about…maybe NOT even realized or recognized or admitted in our hearts, minds or in our lives.

Recently at one of our family gatherings several of us were having our morning devotion time together. One of our daughters was leading it and asked this question for our discussion. This really got me to thinking and wondering as to how many of us are struggling with this question and an answer or a solution.

“Do you realize that if the Bible (God’s Word) has hundreds of scriptures that say ‘FEAR NOT’ or ‘DO NOT FEAR’ God must have known that we were going to need some help in this area?”

The following are promises from the Bible that offer “PEACE” in the midst of our KNOWN FEARS or little secret fears, if we will just allow it!

Please read my suggestions at the closing of this article…

1. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6

2. Do not fear [anything] for I am with you; Do not be afraid for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10

3. For I the Lord your God will keep hold of your right hand: [I am the Lord], who says to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.” – Isaiah 41:13

4. Peace I leave with you: My [perfect] peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. – John 14:27

5. You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast. Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. – Isaiah 26:3

6. But now, this is what the Lord your creator says, O Jacob, And He who formed you, “O Israel, do not fear, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are Mine!” – Isaiah 43:1

7. Be still and know that I am God. – Psalm 46:10

8. In peace, I will both lie down and sleep. For you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety and confident trust. – Psalm 4:8

9. The Lord our God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing. – Zephaniah 3:17

10. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7

11. My soul clings to You. Your right hand upholds me. – Psalm 63:8

12. I sought the Lord and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. – Psalm 34:4

13. But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God; I have made the Lord God my refuge and placed my trust in Him, that I may tell of all Your works. – Psalm 73:28

14. For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. – 2 Timothy 1:7

15. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy. – Psalm 94:19

16. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? – Luke 12:25-26

17. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. – Psalm 119:105

21. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]! – Psalm 91:1-2

23. What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31

24. Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Are you not of more value than they? – Matthew 6:25-26

25. Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way. You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies. You have welcomed me as your guest, blessings overflow. Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you forever in your home. – Psalm 23:4-6

26. But when I am afraid, I will put my confidence in you. Yes, I will trust the promises of God. And since I am trusting him, what can mere man do to me? – Psalm 56:3-4

27. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7

28. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth gives way; though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. – Psalm 46:1-3

29. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. – Luke 14:27

31. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear, though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. – Psalm 27:3

SUGGESTION: Most of us take some type of vitamins…once a day. Why not copy this list, and on the number beside the verse let that be the date you take this spiritual vitamin for that day? Example: on the 5th of each month read, study, write out, or memorize that verse on that date.
