The body of the missing Colorado firefighter has been was recovered on Lake Martin around. The body was located Sunday night around 7:30 p.m. The victim is Zach Lewis, of Colorado and he was a firefighter in his state.

On September 2, 2021 Zach was visiting his “favorite place on Earth” Lake Martin located in Alabama. Around 1 p.m. while boating with friends, Zach being the adventurous soul he is jumped out of a moving boat into the water and tragically did not resurface. Within 10 minutes several teams began searching for him until 2 am on September 3rd, and they began searching again from 8 am until dark. At this time, he still has not been located. There are 2 dive agencies and several other agencies working tirelessly to find him with the best sonar technology. To know Zach is to love Zach. All donations will be given directly to Doug and Karen Lewis. “

“Zachary was located and given a heroes escort and procession. We are praising God that he will be brought home and are so thankful for the hundreds of people who dedicated all of their efforts to finding him. Please be praying for all of Zach’s family and friends who love him. “
