PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Mitch! 5-Month-Old Pointer Mix has been Neutered

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

A sweet doggie named Mitch was picked to be our featured pet this week.

Mitch is a 5-month-old male Pointer mix who has already been neutered.  He was found out in the county and brought in as a stray. Sadly, his owner never came in to reclaim him.  Mitch is white with black and brown markings and we think he is a very handsome young guy.  He has the most adorable ears we have ever seen!  Mitch weighs 21 pounds; and we believe he will be a medium sized adult dog who will weigh 30-60 pounds.  Mitch is active and playful and just full of puppy fun!  He will be wonderful in a home with other dogs and children.

Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.

Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.   We do close one day each month for staff training which will be this Thursday,  August 26th.   Adoptions are currently by appointment only.   For more information about our shelter,  please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

Your help in finding homes for these pets is appreciated very much.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
