A limited press release was issued this morning from the Prattville Police Department concerning an assault investigation, with one person in critical condition and another under arrest.
According to the release Prattville Police officers responded Friday, Aug. 13, to 257 Hwy., 82 Bypass East regarding an assault. The female victim was transported to Baptist South for emergency medical treatment and remains in critical condition.
Prattville Police Investigators arrested Michael Slayton, 58, with the charge of Domestic Violence Assault 1st. Slayton was taken into custody and is being held at the Autauga County Metro Jail on $150,000.00 cash. Other charges may follow.
The case is still pending further investigation.
