FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Mia was chosen to be this week’s featured pet.
Mia is an 1-year-old female Shepherd mix who must be spayed before she is adopted. She was brought to the shelter by Animal Control after she was found abandoned at a local park. When Mia’s owner did not come to reclaim her she became available for adoption.
This girl has the black and brown coat that is classic for a German Shepherd with some white markings; and she is a very pretty girl! In fact, we think she is gorgeous. Mia weighs 44 pounds so she is considered to be a medium sized adult dog. She is sweet and friendly as can be! Mia is also very well behaved.
Mia walks well on a leash and is so eager to please. This frisky girl does love to play outside so we know she would appreciate a nice, fenced yard so she can exercise. She enjoys being around children and other dogs. This beautiful dog is so deserving of a new start on life with a wonderful adoptive family. We can’t wait to see her dreams come true!
Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We do close one day each month for staff training. That will be on Thursday, August 26th.
Adoptions are currently by appointment only. For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email [email protected]., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.
All you do in helping us find homes for these precious pets is appreciated very much.
Sincerely,
Ara Horn
