Rebuild Alabama’s ATRIP II Spotlight: Positive Impact on traffic in Millbrook
Motorists traveling through the intersection of AL Hwy 143 (Main Street) and Cobbs Ford Road/ Alabama River Parkway are experiencing improved flow as improvements funded through Rebuild Alabama’s ATRIP II program are being finalized.
The addition of a left turn lane on Main Street addresses a long standing traffic flow and safety issue. The Elmore County Commission partnered with the City of Millbrook to acquire the ATRIP II grant funds to fund the improvements. The project is now awaiting final striping to be complete. This intersection was one of three intersections the Elmore County Commission was awarded funds to provide improvements.
