At the Elmore County Commission meeting Thursday, Commissioners had high praise for promotional/recruitment videos that are now circulating on social media, for the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office.

The two videos out currently spotlight different scenarios and employees of the sheriff’s office. In a time where it can be difficult to recruit new employees, the county hopes it will draw in more resumes and potential new employees.

“Many of you may have seen the professionally done videos circulating of our sheriff’s department. It is recruitment videos but they also highlight the professionalism and the proficiency of our sheriff’s department. I have received numerous compliments,” Commissioner Mack Daugherty said.

“A lot of people didn’t know that our guys jump out of helicopters and have a SWAT team. I think it is very important to put that out to the public. One thing I love to always mention…even though Elmore County has the second lowest Ad Valorem tax I am always amazed at what our department heads are able to do with the funds that we do have. Our department heads are absolutely amazing at how they make every penny count. We can never thank them enough.”
